How this meme works:
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

I make no promises that you will like the answers to your questions. Damn 'internet' things. Don't understand them, but I'm learning.

1. Ensign Joanna McCoy, Planet Earth, specifically Georgia, however I grew up on the USS Enterprise from age seven to twenty two
2. He was my science instructor, and he did not hold me back. He also took me for what I was and didn't try to change that.
3. Yes. Please don't tell Dad or Jim...I don't think they'd like knowing that. But I came from a warzone
4. My family, the pursuit of knowledge, the ideals of the Federation. Mostly my family.
5. I have mastered not falling on a sword, I can manage knives and phasers, but I am most proficient with unarmed combat.

1. McCoy? Are you the doctor's child?
3. Why do you care if they wouldn't want to know? How did you end up killing the person?
5. Unarmed? Rare in a woman.

1. Yes sir. Not this 'verse's though. Another one
3. The usual way. pull the trigger, dead goes the Klingon. They were invading the space station we were taking respite on. I was EMT and they were interfering in my attempt to get my patient to safety.
5. My Papa was the one who managed to figure out how teach me and he was an instructor in unarmed combat so that's what I learned.

3. Seems a killing to be proud of. Why would you hide it?
5. Your father hardly seems the type to know unarmed combat nonetheless be an instructor.

3. Because...I'm still getting to know them here, and I'm not sure they've grasped the entirety of what living in a warzone for six months truly means...it's kind of simple, when you're just in a ship. You fire at them, they fire at you, and you hope your shields hold up y'know? Clean, elegant. Not evacuating enemy controlled Starbases , and I wouldn't have even been there, except there was more wounded than anticipated.

5. Papa, not Daddy. In my 'verse Jim and McCoy were together. Jim taught me the unarmed combat techniques. Daddy just hoped I never had cause to use them.

3. I have lived through a war that had nothing to do with ships. A planet-side war, in fact, so I understand your meaning. Still a killing worthy of being so instead of some messy thing. I thought protecting patients was supposed to be good for a doctor?
5. Interesting. How did they manage the trick of getting you then if they're both male?

1. I'm no doctor. I'm a scientist, thanks. I just have EMT training because my Spock threatened to not write me when I was planet bound for a year if I didn't do something constructive with my time, rather than whining about not liking living away from the Enterprise.

Daddy's don't really like knowing their baby girl is out there killing. Kind of wish they could live in a world where that wasn't even something they had to contemplate happening.

5. Daddy married my mom and then divorced her when she cheated on him. Between the marriage and divorce I came to be. Daddy rescued me just before Earth imploded, and I came to the Enterprise. Eventually Daddy and Papa got together, and he earned the title of Papa.

3. EMT, doctor, health giver. Same thing even if to varying degrees. It must be a thing of this universe, as most fathers are proud to know their children can defend not only themselves but someone else.

5. Before Earth imploded? Was it similar to this universe?

3. Daddy probably would have preferred if I went into it for a more permanent degree, but I'm afraid Spock lured me right away.

Daddy liked that I could defend myself...he didn't like that I had to.

5. Similar, in some ways yes. This universe is a lot nicer though. Only Vulcan was imploded, which really sucks because on the rare occasion Spock talked about it, it sounded beautiful. Not that New-Vulcan was bad, just not the original.
