How this meme works:
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

I make no promises that you will like the answers to your questions. Damn 'internet' things. Don't understand them, but I'm learning.

Is that how these damn things work? Seems a foolish waste of time. Now I have to edit this thing.

1. Ensign Joanna McCoy, Planet Earth, specifically Georgia, however I grew up on the USS Enterprise from age seven to twenty two
2. He was my science instructor, and he did not hold me back. He also took me for what I was and didn't try to change that.
3. Yes. Please don't tell Dad or Jim...I don't think they'd like knowing that. But I came from a warzone
4. My family, the pursuit of knowledge, the ideals of the Federation. Mostly my family.
5. I have mastered not falling on a sword, I can manage knives and phasers, but I am most proficient with unarmed combat.

1. McCoy? Are you the doctor's child?
3. Why do you care if they wouldn't want to know? How did you end up killing the person?
5. Unarmed? Rare in a woman.

1. Captain James T. Kirk.
2. My universe of origin is the one that is a "mirror" to the elder Jim Kirk.
3. Phasers, daggers, and agonizers.
4. I've caused man deaths. Only a few were by my own hand, though.
5. My own.

1. Yes sir. Not this 'verse's though. Another one
3. The usual way. pull the trigger, dead goes the Klingon. They were invading the space station we were taking respite on. I was EMT and they were interfering in my attempt to get my patient to safety.
5. My Papa was the one who managed to figure out how teach me and he was an instructor in unarmed combat so that's what I learned.

3. ...Agonizers? Tell me something, does the term 'Terran Empire' mean anything to you?

3. Seems a killing to be proud of. Why would you hide it?
5. Your father hardly seems the type to know unarmed combat nonetheless be an instructor.

Of course. All glory to the Empire.

3. Because...I'm still getting to know them here, and I'm not sure they've grasped the entirety of what living in a warzone for six months truly means...it's kind of simple, when you're just in a ship. You fire at them, they fire at you, and you hope your shields hold up y'know? Clean, elegant. Not evacuating enemy controlled Starbases , and I wouldn't have even been there, except there was more wounded than anticipated.

5. Papa, not Daddy. In my 'verse Jim and McCoy were together. Jim taught me the unarmed combat techniques. Daddy just hoped I never had cause to use them.

Intriguing. Seems we have more in common then I expected.

Indeed we do.

3. I have lived through a war that had nothing to do with ships. A planet-side war, in fact, so I understand your meaning. Still a killing worthy of being so instead of some messy thing. I thought protecting patients was supposed to be good for a doctor?
5. Interesting. How did they manage the trick of getting you then if they're both male?

I think that a meeting of the minds is in order outside of this non-secure means of communication.

1. Enlisted straight out of high school.
2. Four years of hard work and moving up the ranks, and then the captain of the Yorktown being promoted and my taking over his position.
3. Well, I have an apartment in San Francisco that looks out over the bay. But the family home, which I more consider 'home', is a horse ranch in Mojave, California. Did you grow up there, in your universe?
4. Assuming you mean serious ones...eleventh-grade girlfriend, Jesse. George and Winona Kirk, at the Academy. Wife of several years, Regina Foster. George and Winona Kirk once again, for good this time.
5. Survival Strategies and Interspecies Protocol, on a part-time basis. Though I'm on sabbatical at the moment.

Would you mind answering these same questions yourself, here? I have to admit, I'm curious.

A meeting of minds? Do you always offer such things to people you have just met?

1. I'm no doctor. I'm a scientist, thanks. I just have EMT training because my Spock threatened to not write me when I was planet bound for a year if I didn't do something constructive with my time, rather than whining about not liking living away from the Enterprise.

Daddy's don't really like knowing their baby girl is out there killing. Kind of wish they could live in a world where that wasn't even something they had to contemplate happening.

5. Daddy married my mom and then divorced her when she cheated on him. Between the marriage and divorce I came to be. Daddy rescued me just before Earth imploded, and I came to the Enterprise. Eventually Daddy and Papa got together, and he earned the title of Papa.

Can't honestly say that I'm not a hint curious about the man who wears my face.

1. Drafted out of high school due to high psi-scores on required testing.
2. Killed Captain Kammach on the Aldrin after he started giving orders that were nonsensical and against the wishes of the Empire and crew. Took over long enough to get it back to Earth, was given Captainship of the Yorktown.
3. I have several acres of land in Mojave and a large home.
4. Assuming you mean serious in return, one serious relationship that I'm not fully libel to speak of due to its nature.
5. Any cadets that tests psi-capable get put into my hands. Since each cadet is unique in what they can learn and the amount of them is growing somewhat rare, myself and a handful of others teach them all individually.
