How this meme works:
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

I make no promises that you will like the answers to your questions. Damn 'internet' things. Don't understand them, but I'm learning.

That seems to be a trait common to all Spocks, then.

Of course not.

Why would you being fascinated be a bad or mockworthy thing?

My apologies for jumping in like this, but I seem to recall Tina having mentioned spending time with you. You wouldn't have heard from her, would you? We are all rather concerned as to their whereabouts, and the Captain doesn't seem to know anything, either.

Cats lounge and expect humans to serve them because it is the most logical course of action, particularly when confined upon a starship.

The hell hounds would be miserable. As would I be if forced to share our quarters with an unhappy one.

I am also suspicious of your sincerity in that statement.

I am not suggesting we bring the hounds here, I'm saying no pets.

I am quite certain I do not understand the complexities of human motivation, particularly when applied to humor.

Tina is my friend. She has not returned to the ship and there appears to be no information at all regarding the delay. I am... concerned as well.

I'm hurt. Deeply.

But a pet would be enjoyable.

My offer to make it up to you is as genuine as your professed injury.

Human humor does tend to be odd, I'll agree there.

Damn. Would you mind letting me know if you do happen to hear something? I'm happy to return the favor, naturally. It seems far too easy for us displaced individuals to be left out of the loop.

I know. I already seem to have one in my rooms.

Somehow, I am not surprised.

I am unable to determine whether or not that is an insult to my person.

Date: 2009-11-19 04:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] iron-command.livejournal.com
Not an insult, or at least it wasn't intended to be. More on the side of ... kinky.

Of course.

A... network of information sharing might indeed be beneficial.

That is... quite acceptable. Though I would still appreciate the procurement of a feline.

But why not?

Spock we just discussed this. NO.

Besides, someone would kill it.

I would regard any such intent quite personally.

Quite personally.

1. Though I am curious as to what theme you have noted, I will answer. Captain Christa Pike had not, before my departure, been promoted to the rank of Admiral. Our interpersonal relationship was amiable, perhaps to the degree that it could be referred to as friendship. She has, to date, saved me from injury and death on five different, individual instances.

2. The conflict with the Romulan Nero has occurred here, also? Fascinating.

3. I am attempting to construct a comparative database illustrating the answer to this very question. However, at the moment, I have determined that the similarities between this particular plane of reality and my own are considerable and numerous. The major differences I have noted are thus: the genders of 95% of known entities examined appear to be reversed of what I know them to be, the layout of technological elements on-board have been flopped in 85.34% of cases, and my Enterprise appears to have a much greater degree of overall interface availability.

4. Captain Kirk is effective, if generally inefficient.

5. I am proficient in multiple unarmed martial arts. As I lack the upper body strength to effectively wield traditional Vulcan weaponry, my experience with armed training is limited. I prefer, of course, to utilize all of my training to purely meditative ends.

George Samuel Kirk, Lt. Good old mother earth, Iowa. This dimension...thought I took a twenty five year catnap of being dead.

Huh, so you're George Kirk. Seems that you have a Pike after you no matter what universe, even if in a different fashion.
