Pike reached up, thumb sliding through the mess on Spock's cheek. He smeared it down to Spock's lips, pressing the thumb against those lips until it moved between them.
"...Well done." The lips curled into a dark smirk. "Stand. Face the wall. Brace yourself." This was another test to see how far his command, how far his power, had sunk into Spock's mind. Had it gone far enough for the Vulcan to do this while the barrier remained down and he could leave at least the cell?
