The taste was unfamiliar, and the manner of how it had been forced into his mouth made him want to spit, but his lips were tight as he stared up at Pike; he glanced down for a moment at his cheek.
At the order, he hesitated again. He closed his eyes, and his brow furrowed, but he did swallow it, rather like swallowing a large and bitter pill. After, he took a shuddering breath, and swallowed a few more times, just to get the taste out of his mouth.
