He remained silent through the night since Spock took his leave from their bit of entertainment. He was curious to see what would come of it, as much as he was curious to see if the young James T. Kirk that had taken over the Enterprise in this universe was as gusty as his own.

Seemed that the young man had no balls, because otherwise he should have been long since dead.

There had been the young woman in blue with fear in her eyes. It was far from a reaction he was unused to. Instead, it was one he damn well expected from his crew. There was no stronger crew, none more feared, none with a more widely spread reputation. To him, Kirk was a young bastard, headstrong, vicious, and good in a fight. He also was no fool to know that the younger man was trying to become captain, but it was also something he was used to. He did not get to the age he was by being foolish about threats.

But for now, he was trapped here in a place of weaklings. Already, he was taking it to his advantage. It would be interesting to see how far it went.

So he remained in his casual sprawl, eyes closed as he half-dozed like a cat. If someone approached, he would wake.
